MARS Desktop

Access to all MARS functions is from either the "Desktop" or "Client Profile" screens. Your opening screen in MARS displays the electronic equivalent of your appointment calendar, the day's suspense list, and work in progress - referred to as your "MARS Desktop." At a glance each CSR can see their workload for the day. The ability to look ahead at upcoming tasks can help with human resource planning.

Appointments

Use the appointment calendar for your daily activity schedule of meetings and personal reminders. As each employee updates their individual calendar, the receptionist or office manager can review the "IN/OUT" Board for all office staff. Employees can also print daily or weekly appointment calendars.

Suspenses
The client suspense list is used for scheduling your follow-ups on activity for specific accounts. My suspenses can be used for personal reminders such as project deadlines or continuing education requirements. You are reminded daily of items scheduled for follow up and you have ready access for updating suspended items that are completed. Suspense items may be transferred to another employee for further work or follow up.

Work in Progress
A planned future tool, the Work in Progress component of MARS will serve as an on-line agency procedures manual. You'll specify a series of steps necessary for completion of a task as a Workflow Type. Use of the Work in Progress system, while optional will help standardize operations, reduce new employee training, and reduce errors and omissions exposure.

MARS Screens
All screens are made up of standard Windows components to simplify your ability to move around through the system. As in all Windows based software there are usually several ways to select a particular function. You might press a button on the screen, select the activity from the Menu Bar, use a short cut key, or select it from a right mouse click menu.

Menu Bar - The Menu Bar at the top of the desktop provides drop-down menu access to all functions in the system.

Power Bar - Buttons on the Power Bar are used to access often used system functions.

Desktop Tray - Like your physical "in basket," the Desktop Tray holds the client files you are currently working with. You can easily drop a client's file into the tray when you need to quickly check another account. Re-open the interrupted files in any order to complete processing.

Status Line - The Status Line is used for various notifications such as appointment alarms, notice of transferred suspense, and others.
