MARS - Software Costs

Licensing for the database used in Mars carries a per workstation charge. You must purchase software for the number of workstations you want to have access to the system.

MARS TRAINING
IRS-AIMS will provide 2 days of Mars training in our Universal City Classroom for up to three people. Additional training can be provided at the cost of $250.00 per person for the two day class.

Follow-up training or training for personnel unable to travel is provided in a CD Based Learning System.

DATA CONVERSION
IRS-AIMS will provide data conversion from your existing AIMS system. Contact IRS-AIMS for details.

IRS-AIMS has successfully converted data from several other management systems also. Please contact IRS-AIMS for details on cost and specific data transferred.

Additional Costs

Hardware
The prices shown above are for the MARS software only. All hardware and network system components, printers, other peripherals, and installation are at additional costs to the agency. IRS-AIMS can provide hardware and network operating system for a turn key system if desired. For most agencies, however, it is important to have a local provider who can respond quickly in the event of hardware of system failures. We encourage you to contract with a local provider for both hardware and network support.

Word Processing/Spreadsheet
MARS includes a Windows word processor for general correspondence. You will also need Microsoft Office 2000- specifically Word and Excel if you have more detailed word processing or reporting needs. When you purchase this software, make certain you also have made provisions for adequate staff training.

FAX
Though Windows 95 includes basic FAXing capabilities, packaging multiple documents, scheduling FAX packages, and logging FAX activity requires additional software and special "smart" modems. Contact IRS-AIMS for recommended desktop faxing packages.

E-mail and Internet Access
Be certain your hardware and network operating system provider can set up these features for your agency.

Scanner
MARS includes an Image storage feature where specific images can be tied to and accessed from the client's record. To utilize this feature you will need a scanner and image capture software.

MARS Download Module
The MARS system uses ACORD Level III standards for storage of all policy data. Agencies wishing to receive download updates to stored policy data must purchase the Download Module from IRS-AIMS at a cost of $750.00 setup/$250.00 annual fee.
